This is the Walnut Grove Tiny Tri page. The Walnut Grove Tiny Tri is a chance for those budding athletes ages 4 to 7 (athletes must be 4 -7 years old as of December 31 of the current year) to swim across the shallow end of the pool (life preservers and parental assistance is encouraged) then hop on their trikes or bikes, do a lap of the closed off parking lot, and then finish strong with a mad dash to the finish line.

The cost of the Tiny Tri event is $10 and it will begin at approximately 11:30am once the majority of triathletes have crossed the finish line and are waiting for the results of the day. All Tiny Tri athletes will receive a participation medal.

* Please note that Tiny Tri athletes do not have a race package to pick up, they will be given their race bib number just prior to their event on Sunday. All Tiny Tri Athletes will receive a medal upon completing their event*

Please note the following:

you are encouraged (OK strongly recommended) to participate with your child during the swim portion of the event so be prepared to be in the water as required - for the safety of all the triathletes, parents will not be permitted on the bike or run course so please find your prime photographic opportunity somewhere safe but out of the way.
this is a fun event so if you believe in your heart of hearts that you child is the next Simon or Lauren then this is not the event for you. If, on the other hand you promise to encourage all the little triathletes to do their best then we look forward to seeing you and your little one(s) on race day.

Waivers:	WALNUT GROVE TRIATHLON ACKNOWLEDGMENT, WAIVER AND RELEASE FROM LIABILITY ALL PARENTS MUST READ AND AGREE TO THIS WAIVER a) I/We understand that this is a fun event that is intended to introduce my child/children to the wonderful sport of Triathlon. b) I/We agree that I/We will only offer kind words of encouragement and praise to all athletes who are participating in the Walnut Grove Tiny Tri. c) I/We agree that as parents we are solely responsible for the equipment and training of our child/children for their Tiny Tri event. This includes the use of a floatation devise or parental assistance during the swim, use of a properly fitted helmet and bike or trike during the bike, and proper footwear during the run. d) I/We agree to take full responsibility at all times during our child’s/children’s event this includes being in the water with them during the swim portion of the Walnut Grove Triathlon if required and running beside them during the bike portion of the event. e) I/We understand that the Walnut Grove Triathlon Race Committee cannot be held responsible for me/us not properly preparing or supervising our child/children during this event and take sole responsibility for their safety during the Walnut Grove Tiny Tri event. f) I/We agree to take full responsibility of the health of our child/children before, during, and after the Walnut Grove Tiny Tri event. I/We will assess the physical and mental health of our child/children before, during, and after the event such that no harm (and only good) will come to them by participating in the Walnut Grove Tiny Tri event.
